April is designated for Edgewood Spring Cleaning

It has been determined for the month of April as our annual "Spring Clean-Up."  The citizens of Edgewood along with various organizations will be asked to pitch in and help clean up our little town for its' beautification.  More information will follow.
City of Edgewood Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2p.m.

All the children are invited to the City wide Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Economic Development Council of Edgewood.  Bring your baskets for an afternoon of fun at the Heritage Park.  Parents, bring your camera  for pictures with the Easter Bunny.
"Better Than Fair Health" Health Fair in Edgewood sponsored by the Edgewood Senior Center

Saturday, March 24, 2012 will be the date for the annual Health Fair.  The times will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Schedule your mammogram with Pam Allen, at 903-896-4064.  Bring your insurance card, or bring your medicare or medicaid, and i.d.  Also, the Carter Blood Mobil will be here if you are interested to donate blood.  You can donate in someone's name, for your church or organization.

Since 1930, the Edgewood Community has benefitted from having an organized volunteer fire department.  The volunteer group is dedicated to saving the lives and property of the citizens of Edgewood and surrounding areas by responding quickly when called.  The department provides a high quality of fire protection, rescue and training as the firemen are a well trained team qualified to administer first aid and have attended fire-fighting schools.

Funding of the department is through the City of Edgewood, Van Zandt County, grants, annual fundraisers and donations.  Their main fundraiser is a chili supper, offered in January at the Fire Hall.

Two monthly meetings @ 7:00 p.m.
